Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Sol House, exactly?

Sol House is a homeschool-aligned learning and enrichment center located in Cherokee County, Georgia. We offer creative, community-based daytime programming for kids and teens, along with a co-working space and support system for parents. It’s not a school or a co-op — it’s something entirely new.

2. How does it work?

Learners can attend Sol House up to three times per week, for four hours per visit. That’s 48 hours of rich, community-rooted learning each month — including guided sessions, creative labs, open exploration, and connection time.

3. Is this a drop-off program?

Yes. Our Camp Sol and Club Sol programs are designed for drop-off. Parents are welcome to stay and work, recharge, or collaborate in our cozy, well-equipped co-working lounge — complete with coffee, calm, and connection.

4. What ages do you serve?

We serve learners ages 5–18, divided into two enriching pathways:

  • Camp Sol (Ages 5–12): A vibrant, play-driven environment with storytelling, creative exploration, and collaborative sessions.

  • Club Sol (Ages 13–18): A space where teens lead, learn, and create — with hands-on labs, deep dives, and peer-driven discussion.

Both age groups have distinct spaces, rhythms, and programming designed specifically for their developmental stage.

5. Do I have to be a full-time homeschooler to participate?

Not necessarily. Sol House is built to support homeschool families, including those enrolled in hybrid models, umbrella schools, or part-time charter programs. If your family values freedom and flexibility in learning, you're welcome here.

6. How much does it cost?

Our regular tuition is $350/month per learner, which includes up to 48 hours of monthly programming.

7. Is this a faith-based program?

Sol House is spiritually grounded and welcomes families of all backgrounds. We gently weave in spiritual rhythms such as character, stature, gratitude, reflection, and learning how to be a light to our community.

8. What will my child be doing at Sol House?

Your child will engage in guided sessions led by subject-matter experts in areas like art, science, cultural storytelling, and nature exploration.

In addition to these structured offerings, learners have access to open learning areas all day long — designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and independent discovery.

9. Is there a curriculum I have to follow?

Nope. Sol House is curriculum-light and experience-rich. While we do track milestones and projects, our goal is to complement your homeschool style, not replace or direct it.

10. What makes Sol House different from a homeschool co-op?

We’re not volunteer-run, and we don’t require teaching commitments from parents. Sol House is a structured, paid service led by professionals and a founder with a background in curriculum design and transformational learning. It’s designed to feel calm, intentional, and deeply rooted in family well-being.

11. When does Sol House open?

We’ll open our doors in January 2026! Our next Vision Night is your chance to hear the vision, connect with others, and get early access to enrollment details.

12. Can I visit before signing up?

Yes! We’re hosting vision nights the summer of 2025 — a relaxed, creative gathering for homeschool families to explore the vision, meet the team, and share feedback.
